How can an online service help with your co parenting relationship?

Welcome back to Our Children Australia.

Today we are going to talk about how an online service can help with your co parenting relationship.

There are quite a few benefits to using online communication portal here are our top 2:

  1. You don’t have to worry about physically passing information between each other e.g. copies of newsletters, report cards etc. Whilst these activities don’t necessarily take much time, they can easily be forgotten hence causing miscommunication. By using an online service these are somewhat eliminated. For example with our service we provide an incoming email address. If this is used well – schools will email report cards and newsletters and these are then automatically forwarded to both of you so you don’t have to worry about doing this. Doctors can email reports. It is all about looking at the technology that is available and how it can assist you and your family
  2. Having a shared calendar means that there can’t be any confusion as to when drop off and changeover occurs. Does your week commence on a Monday/Sunday? Does it end at 5pm or 6pm?

These are all the little issues that if they mount up they can be the catalyst for court proceedings. This is what we are trying to stop. We are trying to put all of the information in one place so that both of you can access it and thereby removing as many opportunities as possible for miscommunication.

Like anything it will only be as good as the information you put in it. If you don’t put everything in then of course there will be opportunities for miscommunication and it won’t work effectively. The more you put into it the better it will help you and your co parenting relationship.
