Welcome to the new OCA website
Hi and welcome to the launch of the blog site for Our Children Australia. Over the coming weeks we will posts blogs about various topics concerning separation and your children. Our aim is to provide you with as much thought provoking information as possible. We want to challenge your thoughts, beliefs and ideas. We want you to think, seriously think about your actions and the impact that they are having on your children (both good and bad).
It is our hope that all children will have the opportunity to have a meaningful and loving relationship with both parents. We appreciate that this may not always be in their best interests but for the majority of children it will be and that is who we are focussing our blogs on. For most parents you always act with your children’s best interests at heart; but at times you struggle with what is in their best interests versus the ongoing emotional rollercoaster of dealing with the other parent. You may have just separated; you may have separated many years ago, you may be re-partnering or have re-partnered. Each of you will most likely be at different stages of this journey, but still you encounter the highs and lows of your ongoing relationship (yes you will still have a relationship – a co parenting relationship!).
We are here to help. We want to reduce this stress as much as possible. If you have any questions let us know – please remember though we can’t give you legal advice – you will need to speak to a lawyer for that.
